Audience

This course is intended for developers and administrators which have already a basic knowledge of Reporting Services 2005 and want to become familiar with the new features of reporting services 2008

At Course Completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the architecture of Microsoft Reporting Services 2008
  • Know how table, matrix and list have been substituted by Tablix
  • Know the new Textbox capabilities, report controls and the new rendering features
  • Allow power users to create reports with the Report Builder 2

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • Experience querying relational databases.
  • Exposure to Visual Studio.
  • Exposure to Reporting Services 2005

Module 4: Administrative changes
