In 2005 dr. Nico Jacobs provided several 5 day workshops on MS SQL Server 2005 at different locations in Europe. The pictures above are from a workshop U2U organized at the lovely site of Microsoft Portugal in Porto Salvo, near Lisbon. Nico explained important new features in SQL Server 2005, such as the extended XML support, the Service Broker, the native WebServices support and the .NET CLR integration. The participants also dived into important new Business Intelligence features in Microsoft’s Analysis Server 2005, such as the Intellicube OLAP support and the new Data Mining functionality, and briefly looked at Microsoft’s Reporting Services.
